California State Universities Lecturers--faculty
with full- or part-time temporary appointments--are more than half of the
faculty in the California State University system. The
California Faculty Association (CFA) represents all faculty in the CSU,
including lecturers.
Each of the 23 campuses in the CSU has an elected CFA Lecturer
Representative to the statewide Lecturers' Council, which has become
increasingly involved in contingent academic labor issues at the local, state,
national, and international level.
